Have you ever felt hopeless? Maybe you made some bad decisions that took your life in a direction and now you don't know what to do. Maybe you are in jail and you think, I can't possibly do anything for God in here. Maybe you got sick and no one could take care of you and you are in a nursing home and you are sad and hopeless. That isn't living, you don't want to be in there. You can't possibly have a purpose in there.
God can't use you being in a nursing home. Maybe you lost your family and your home and you are even living under a bridge or just going around town living here and there. No one sees you and no one cares. Life didn't turn out the way you expected and you don't even care to live anymore. You don't make a difference.
LIES LIES LIES LIES LIES
The thief (satan) comes not, but for to steal, and to kill and to destroy: John 10:10a
How does satan kill? He lets his spirits come to you and convince you that you are hopeless and worthless and depression sets in and you think God doesn't love you and so you are turning away from him and turning to satan. He deceives you and keeps talking to your heart and tries to get you to just kill yourself. A spirit of suicide sets in and works on you. He wants you to throw your life away and just decide you don't matter to anyone. He wants you to be hopeless, he sends his spirit of depression and oppression in to work on you. He loves all of these negative thoughts and that you are listening to him. He wants to steal you away from God.
You matter more than anything to God. No matter where this life takes you, you have a purpose. Do you think it is a surprise to God that you are in jail? No. Is He surprised that you are in a nursing home or hospital long term? No. Did you throw Him a curve ball when you lost it all and now are homeless? Nope. Nothing you can do will ever surprise Him. He already knows. Do you think He can use people in jail? Yes. Do you think He can use people in a nursing home or long term care hospital? Yes. Can He use a homeless person? Sure can.
No matter where you are, God is there. You have effect on those around you. No matter what your situation is, He can use you. He needs people in all walks of life that have had different experiences in their lives. You can relate to those around you and help them because you know, you have been there and may still be there. That other person that you talk to may just be hanging on because of you. God places us in each others lives for His Glory and Honor. Draw the people around you to Him. Do something for His Kingdom. He suffered and bled and died for each one of us. Are you doing anything for Him? Have you asked Him what He wants you to do?
Ever wonder why it seems like God turned His back on you and isn't answering or hearing your prayers? There could be a good reason.
Now we know that God does not hear sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and does His will, Him he hears. John 9:31 Ask forgiveness of your sins and clear the air today. Let God speak into your life and listen to Him. He knows where you are and He can use you right where you are. God is Love.
