Have you ever noticed someone trying to discredit you or your ministry? They dig and try to find something, anything that will show that you are a fake, a phony and not truly serving the Lord. Why are they doing this? Why are you on their radar? Why do they even care? It is like when people run for office and others immediately try and dig up some dirt on them to smear them and ruin them. Why?
They don't want them in office. Could be jealousy and competition, they want "their man" in that position. They don't want to listen to that person.
With ministry for the Lord it is usually that you have spoken TRUTH and it was not well received. They do not want to believe what you said so they set out to make themselves feel better by trying to prove that you are wrong. They want to believe that you don't really know God. They want to make all that you said a lie in their minds. This way they do not have to feel guilty and feel the conviction that is coming into their hearts. However, when you are speaking Truth from God's Word, it is not about you, it is about Him. So shall My Word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return unto Me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper whereto I sent it. Isaiah 55:11
Sometimes people get stuck on being right. They want to be right no matter the cost. They stand their ground and try to tear you down. When you stand on God's Word, you will not be torn down. God's Word is True. Jesus speaking here: Heaven and earth shall pass away: but My Words shall not pass away. Luke 21:33
How about those that are living in sin and don't want to believe what you said. If they can just find something that you did or said wrong, then they are off the hook!!! That is what they think, however we are not the judge. They are being judged by God's Word. He that rejects Me, and receives not My Words, has One that judges him: the Word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day. John 12:48
In all of this there is something going on that is not godly. Who are we supposed to keep our eyes on? Who sets our example and left heaven and walked this earth as a man to show us how to live? Why are we watching man and basing anything on what they do or don't do or say or don't say. My dad always had his eyes on the preacher. The preacher will let you down every time. Why? He is just a man. Everyday of our lives we battle these fleshly bodies that we live in. No one walked this earth and lived perfect unto God except His Son, Jesus Christ. He is the One to keep your eyes on. Let His life touch you and His Words speak to you. Quit watching man. Let's not purposely set out to tear others down. Yes, we should expose false teaching and false teachers. But to try and justify sin and make yourself feel better so therefore trying to come against someone speaking God's Word, you are actually drawing more judgment onto yourself.
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works. II Timothy 3:16-17 When God's Word hurts, there is a reason. It is because it has struck at darkness in your life. GET THE DARKNESS OF SIN OUT OF YOUR LIFE!!!
